HISTORY OF KRAV MAGA
The Krav Maga was born in Israel from the merger of a fighting art, the Kapap, which was used to train the elite formations of the newly born Israeli state, and from processing performed on these techniques by Imi Lichtenfeld. Imi Lichtenfeld born in Hungary, was a champion in many sports, including boxing and wrestling. He decided to go to Israel to help the Jewish state, where he became an instructor of the army and together with the master of Kapap, Moni Aizik, elaborated the Krav Maga. A complex version for the elite forces, and easier for the regular army.
In 1978 he founded and became president of the Israeli Krav Maga Association.
TECHNIQUE OF KRAV MAGA
The Krav Maga is a set of techniques of combat and survival, designed for the practicality and immediacy. One can therefore understand that nothing is forbidden. Given the efficacy, is the training technique of the Israeli army.
All martial arts have contributed to this method, which includes defense against weapons and firearms of all kinds.
