In short, the European Judo Union (EJU) is the company that governs and coordinates judo in Europe. The EJU is part of the International Judo Federation. Is one of five IJF continental unions.
In 1948 Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland decided to form the European Judo Union (EJU). First continental federation that proposed the inclusion of judo at the Olympic Games. Next, in 1999, established a foundation to spread judo in less developed countries.
Main events: Senior, Junior, Veterans, Teams European Judo Championships. Also, Open, Under 23 and Kata.
